With opera houses around the world announcing their plans for the 2018/19 season, Tim can now share with you some of his plans for the months ahead. The season is full of some of his favourite roles with some of his favourite collaborators and includes a number of house debuts.

Tim begins the season with his 4th production for Opera de Lille. Returning to the role of Bertarido in a new production by Jean Bellorini, Tim is reunited with conductor Emmanuelle Haim and stars alongside Jeanine de Bique in the title role. Following the run in Lille the production moves to the Théâtre de Caen and then to the Thèâtre Champs des Elysées for a concert performance.

In his seventh run of performances of George Benjamin's modern classic Written on Skin, Tim returns to China for 2 concert performances in Beijing and Shanghai.

A Midsummer Night's Dream - Opera Philadelphia - February 2019
Tim returns to the United States for his first staged opera since a triumphant Richard the Lionheart at the Opera Theatre of St. Louis in 2015. Reprising the role of Oberon in Robert Carsen's much loved production, Tim makes his debut at Opera Philadelphia in a run conducted by Corrado Rovaris. Tim stars opposite Anna Christy as Tytania and Miltos Yerolemou as Puck.

La Calisto - Teatro Real, Madrid - March 2019
Following a successful revival of David Alden's production of La Calisto at the Bayerische Staatsoper in April 2018, Tim returns to his beloved shepherd Endimione as the production makes its debut in Spain. Ivor Bolton, music director of the Teatro Real, conducts and Tim stars alongside Louise Alder as Calisto and Luca Tittoto as Giove.

Alongside these staged productions Tim also undertakes a major European tour with Sandrine Piau and Emmanuelle Haim entitled Desperate Lovers - a selection of Handel opera arias and duets. The tour travels to the Théâtre des Champs Eylsées, Opera de Lille, Festival de Pacques, Aix-en-Provence, Wiener Staatsoper, the Liceu, Barcelona and the Handel-Festpiele Halle amongst others.

Other concerts include debuts with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra in Minnesota and the Deutsches Sinfonie Orchester in Berlin and further concerts with Arcangelo at the Wigmore Hall and the Academy of Ancient Music.

And finally, at the start of the season Tim will be releasing an album of works by Henry Purcell with Les Musiciens de St. Julien on the Alpha Classics label. The disc includes well known songs such as O Solitude, as well as extracts from larger works such as Ode to St. Cecilia, The Fairy Queen and King Arthur. The album's release will be marked by a launch concert in the Salle Gaveau in Paris.
